VCS Sectoral Scopes

VCS validation/verification bodies may undertake validations and verifications in those sectoral scopes for which they hold accreditation granted by an appropriate accreditation body (see VCS Validation/Verification Bodies). List of VCS validation/verification bodies.

Sectoral scopes under the VCS Program are as follows:

  4. Manufacturing industries

  7. Transport
  8. Mining/Mineral production
  9. Metal production
  10. Fugitive emissions from fuels (solid, oil and gas)
  11. Fugitive emissions from production and consumption of halocarbons and sulphur hexafluoride
  12. Solvents use
  13. Waste handling and disposal
  14. Agriculture Forestry and Other Land Use
  15. Livestock, enteric fermentation, and manure management
