Multiple Benefits and Linking

VCS offers a unique tagging system that allows projects to demonstrate multiple benefits such as those accruing to the environment and local communities. For example, some projects can increase biodiversity while simultaneously reducing greenhouse gases (GHG). Credits produced by these projects can be tagged accordingly.

Three current examples of tagging opportunities are:

• Climate, Community & Biodiversity (CCB) Standards
• Social Carbon
• Crown Standard

VCS welcomes new tagging partners who meet the eligibility requirements set out in the VCS Policy on Tags and Other Standards.
